What I Offer
Affordable Instruction & Assessment Specifically for You

I offer online tutoring through Zoom in 60 minute increments. During our first lesson, I will assess your child and create a program specific to their reading needs and deficits. I utilize the Institute for Multi-sensory Education Orton-Gillingham based approach to teaching reading. I try to make learning fun with many different multi-sensory activities, even through the screen!

Introducing- Little Readers!
This six week, in-person, course will focus on research-backed early phonological awareness skills, letter and sound recognition, letter formation, and high frequency words. Students will be introduced to blending and segmenting sounds to read and spell CV and CVC words.
Little Readers is a series of 6 courses. Students will work on short vowel sounds, consonants, and digraphs. Each class will focus on one letter or concept per week and will build upon what was learned the previous week. Each week your student will receive a practice packet from our session with activities to reinforce learning at home.
Classes take place in a small group setting of 3 to 5 students.
I offer in-person tutoring for students in pre-K through 5th grade at my home office in Fort Wayne, IN in 60 minute increments. During our first lesson, I will assess your child and create a specific Orton-Gillingham based program designed for their reading needs. Students will participate in multi-sensory lessons and utilize sand trays, blending boards, whiteboards, magnetic letter boards and more!
A thorough review of your child's IEP including goals, service time, present levels, assessments, compliance, and progress. All IEPs should have goals and service time based on student need with data to support student progress.
After the review, you will receive a copy of the IEP with suggestions and recommendations. A 30 minute phone or video consultation is included.

Do you have a struggling reader and are not sure where to start intervention? I offer an evaluation that assesses phonological awareness, decoding, encoding, and reading fluency. After the evaluation, you will get a detailed report of the assessment results and my professional recommendations*. This is excellent information to bring to an IEP meeting or doctor's appointment if you are concerned about reading disabilities. The assessment takes between 45-60 minutes. After completing the assessment, I will send you a written report and offer a complimentary phone or video consultation to go over any questions you have!
This assessment can be done in person or online.
*Only a psychologist is able to diagnose dyslexia, but I can provide instructional goals and recommendations for intervention.
